What we do

The Why of William Simpsons

We believe that every person has a right to a full and happy life

Simply put, William Simpsons enables adults living with a mental health diagnosis, cognitive impairment, ARBD and other substance abuse related conditions, to get the very best out of life.

Everyone, irrespective of background, life choices and age should have the opportunity to realise their potential and enjoy a full and engaging life.

By offering full 360-degree care and support, which is tailored and customised to meet each individual person’s physical and emotional requirements, individuals using our services are afforded an opportunity to enhance their daily lives and realise their full potential.

We are here when you need us, for as long as you need us, and as often as you need us.  From short term respite breaks, to medium term care support that enables a return to independent living within the community, or for longer term residential care, the support we provide promotes independence and encourages choices, enabling you to lead a fulfilling life.

Why William Simpsons?  Because we offer tailored and truly individualised support that places you firmly at the centre of your care.

 The How of William Simpsons

This is your journey and you are in the driving seat

Because we place you as a person at the heart of everything we do, the support and care you receive will be tailored and customised to ensure your personal health care and wellbeing needs are met.

We take time to get to know you, to find out how you view the world, your individual preferences, your passions and how we can help you to embrace each new day.

Your existing interests and hobbies will inform the pastimes and pursuits we provide for your enjoyment initially, however, we will also provide opportunities for you to discover and develop new interests and alternative pursuits which you may not have considered before.

The What of William Simpsons

People’s needs change throughout their lifetime,

so William Simpsons offers different levels of support and care

Respite Support and Care provides individuals with short term, tailored support and is available in both times of crisis and as a planned break.

Although most individuals benefiting from respite support and care return to community living, respite can also provide an adjustment period for individuals who are moving into longer term care within William Simpsons.

Short Term Support and Care enables individuals to recuperate, and prepare for a return to community living.

As each individual progresses, the focus of support will change toward building confidence and competence in the relevant life skills each person will require, such as cooking, shopping or financial management.

The William Simpsons team will work closely with social work departments to ensure each person has the necessary support in place for a successful transition back to community living before they leave our care.

Long Term Support and Care provides a welcoming and caring home for individuals where they can enjoy a full and enriching life secure in the knowledge their medical needs are supported.

William Simpsons, here when you need us, as often as you need us                                             and for as long as you need us
